CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

LIFE, SENIOR ACTIVE AND JUNIOR ACTIVE MEMBERS SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL CLASSES AT REGULAR COMPETITIONS, EVENTING COMPETITIONS AT THE PRELIMINARY LEVEL OR ABOVE AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS AT THE ADVANCED LEVEL, DRESSAGE, REINING AND VAULTING COMPETITIONS AND ENDURANCE RIDES. A NON-MEMBER MAY PARTICIPATE AS A HANDLER, RIDER, DRIVER, OWNER, LESSEE, AGENT, COACH OR TRAINER AT REGULAR COMPETITIONS, EVENTING COMPETITIONS, DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS, REINING COMPETITIONS, AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS UPON PAYMENT OF A $30 SHOW PASS FEE. PARTICIPANTS IN THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS RULE: 1) LEADLINE; 2) EXHIBITIONS; 3) GAMES AND RACES; 4) CLASSES FOR 4-H MEMBERS; 5) WALK TROT AND ACADEMY CLASSES (ACADEMY CLASSES ARE CLASSES LIMITED TO HORSES USED REGULARLY IN A LESSON PROGRAM); 6) USDF INTRODUCTORY LEVEL TESTS, PAS DE DEUX AND QUADRILLE CLASSES; 7) NRHA ENDORSED REINING COMPETITIONS; 8) OPPORTUNITY CLASSES; 9) CITIZENS OF OTHER NATIONS WHO HAVE PROOF, IN ENGLISH, OF CURRENT MEMBERSHIP IN GOOD STANDING OF THEIR OWN NATIONAL FEDERATION; 10) USEA BEGINNER NOVICE DIVISION; AND 11) ASSISTANT HANDLERS IN DRESSAGE SPORT HORSE BREEDING CLASSES.


ENTRY PROCEDURE AND INFORMATION

  1. ALL CLASSES, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, WILL BE $25.00. ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED ONLY IF A COMPLETED SCRATCH FORM IS ACCEPTED BY THE SHOW OFFICE PRIOR TO THE START OF THE DIVISION. A $20.00 OFFICE CHARGE WILL BE APPLIED TO EACH HORSE. IF ENTRIES TOTAL OVER $500 AND YOU ARE PAYING BY CHECK, WE MAY ALSO ASK FOR A CREDIT CARD TO SECURE THE FEES.
  2. PLEASE FAX ALL ENTRIES TO 732-530-7939 BETWEEN 8AM AND 8PM ONLY. YOU MAY ENTER ONLINE AT WWW.MONMOUTHHORSESHOW.COM OR HORSESHOWING.COM AT ANY TIME.
  3. TRAINERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTING ALL CONFLICTS TO STARTERS. NO RING WILL BE HELD FOR LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES.
  4. HUNTER COURSES MAY INCLUDE: GATES, BRUSH, WALLS, OXERS, PANELS, COOPS OR ANY COMBINATION OF THE ABOVE.
  5. A PROCESSING FEE OF $50.00 WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL UNPROCESSED CHECKS.
  6. ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASHES OR A FINE WILL BE IMPOSED BY THE MONMOUTH COUNTY PARK SYSTEM.
  7. A BLANK CHECK MUST ACCOMPANY THE ENTRY FORM. NO NUMBERS WILL BE GIVEN OUT WITHOUT A CHECK AND THE PROPER ASSOCIATION NUMBERS.
  8. THE HORSE SHOW MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO LIMIT ENTRIES IN ANY CLASS, SECTION OR DIVISION, TO REFUSE, ACCEPT CONDITIONALLY, OR TO CANCEL ANY ENTRIES, DISQUALIFY ANY RIDERS OR EXHIBITORS, PROHIBIT EXHIBITION OF ENTRIES, AND CANCEL AWARD PRIZES, WITHOUT ANY CLAIM FOR DAMAGES; TO CHANGE ANY COURSE, TO ADD A DOTTED LINE, TO CANCEL OR COMBINE ANY UNFILLED CLASSES, OR TO RESCHEDULE CLASSES, AFTER DUE NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS; TO CHANGE RINGS OR ROTATE JUDGES; TO CHANGE SPECIFICATION IN JUMPER CLASSES AS COMPETITION WARRANTS.
  9. EACH ENTRY FORM MUST GIVE THE USEF AND USHJA NUMBERS FOR THE OWNER, RIDER, HORSE AND TRAINER WITH PROPER MAILING ADDRESS FOR EACH.
  10. COMPETITORS COMPETING WITHOUT A NUMBER OR WITH AN INCORRECT NUMBER MAY BE REFUSED AN AWARD AND/OR MCHSA YEAR END POINTS AT MANAGEMENT'S DISCRETION.
  11. MONMOUTH COUNTY HORSE SHOW ASSOCIATION, MONMOUTH GROUP, LLC., MONMOUTH COUNTY PARK SYSTEM, AMERICAN HUNTER JUMPER FOUNDATION, INC., UNITED STATES EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION, THEIR OFFICIALS, EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCIDENT OR LOSS WHICH MAY OCCUR TO ANY EXHIBITOR, SPECTATOR, GUEST, RIDER, GROOM, ATTENDANT OR OTHER EMPLOYEE, ANIMAL OR EQUIPMENT AT THIS COMPETITION.
  12. WARNING: UNDER NEW JERSEY LAW, AN EQUESTRIAN AREA OPERATOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ANIMAL ACTIVITIES, PURSUANT TO P.I. 1997, c. 287 (C.5:15-1 ET. SEQ.) (Now before the Legislature as this Bill). Act is available at show office for perusal.
  13. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT FEDERATION RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREIN.
  14. MINORS WHO DO NOT HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO OPERATE A MOTORIZED VEHICLE IN THE STATE IN WHICH THEY RESIDE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO OPERATE A MOTORIZED VEHICLE OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, GOLF CARTS, MOTORCYCLES, SCOOTERS, OR FARM UTILITY VEHICLES, ON THE COMPETITION GROUNDS OF LICENSED COMPETITIONS. MINORS WHO HAVE A VALID TEMPORARY LICENSE MAY OPERATE THE ABOVE DESCRIBED MOTORIZED VEHICLES AS LONG AS THEY ARE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT WITH A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. THE PARENT(S), LEGAL GUARDIAN(S), OR INDIVIDUAL(S) WHO SIGNS THE ENTRY BLANK AS A PARENT OR GUARDIAN OF A MINOR OPERATING A MOTORIZED VEHICLE IN VIOLATION OF THIS RULE ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, CLAIMS, LOSSES OR ACTIONS RESULTING FROM THAT OPERATION. VIOLATIONS OF THIS RULE WILL BE CAUSE FOR SANCTIONS AGAINST THE PARENT(S), GUARDIAN(S), AND/OR TRAINER(S) FROM THE COMPETITION GROUNDS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE COMPETITION AND CHARGES BEING FILED AGAINST ANY OF THE ABOVE INDIVIDUALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 6. WHEELCHAIRS AND OTHER MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS RULE.
  15. ANYONE ENTERING A M&S CLASS AT THIS SHOW MUST ENTER ANOTHER CLASS AT THIS SHOW.
